Nominees for the 2009 "Dumbass" post of the year. The "Carl Peterson Memorial" award.

The Academy board (BRC, Pestilence, Gonzo, RedneckRaider and Mr. Flopnuts) has finalized the process for post of the year. We will have 5 different categories for the 2009 post of the year. (Humor, Chiefs, Poopouri, DC and Dumbass). Each of those categories will win an award and salutation as the best in their category for 2009. Once we have a winner in each category, there will be a final poll with the winners of the 5 categories battling it out for the honor of being the Chiefsplanet 2009 post of the year. From this point going forward the annual Chiefs Planet post of the year will receive the honorable distinction as a recipient of the “Logical Memorial Award” for post of the year. And the thread gets an automatic induction to the Hall of Classics.

Nomination threads in each category will be open for 48 hours. The first poll is open for 3 days. The final poll in each category is open for 6 days. All nominations and polls are public.
You must cut and paste the nomination post into the nomination thread, plus a link to the original page(to keep any shenanigans from occurring).

Nominations that will make it to the poll round will be decided by how many nominations a post gets. A 2nd nomination by a poster, a 3rd nomination etc. We will keep the tally in the original starting post.
Any post from January 1st 2009 to present is eligible in its own category.

Any dupe accounts or new accounts(less than 5 posts) are ineligible to vote and their votes will be discarded. Any nominee caught being a part of something like this will be disqualified. We will keep all graft and bribery out in the open. All bribery/graft is allowed and encouraged and will only pertain to that thread in which the bribe/graft was posted. Any new poll or thread means new graft and or bribes. We will keep track of the known bribes and graft in the opening post. Once nominated, it’s official and the nominee or the person who nominated the nominee can’t withdraw. There is no dropping out and throwing support to another nominee/poster.

The "Chiefs" nomination thread will be out tommorrow. This will be run by academy member Gonzo.
The "Humor" nomination thread will be out on Friday. This will be run by academy member Mr. Flopnuts.
The "DC" nomination thread will be out ASAP. This will be run by academy member RedneckRaider.
The "Poopuri" nomination thread will be out Monday. This will be run by academy member Pestilience.

The whole point of this is to have some fun, entertainment and distraction from how much our team sucks. You think it’s stupid, fine and dandy. But, please don’t anyone take this too seriously. I know some will really want to earn that “Logical Memorial Award” but let’s don’t stray too far from the entertainment. Stick to having some fun with this idea.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first nominee category is the 2009 “Dumbass” Post of the Year, the “Carl Peterson Memorial Award”. Let the games begin.

The nominees:
Tribal Warfare: post #15 in this thread.
Babygirl21 : post #33 in this thread.
Mecca : post #51 int his thread. +2
BRC: post #1 in this thread. +1
Pioli Zombie: post #31 in this thread.
dirk digler: post #60 in this thread.
reiko: post #57 in this thread. +6
mecca: post #64 in this thread.
Garcia Bronco: post #65 in this thread. +1
Dane McCloud: post #72 in this thread.
Baitism: post #73 in this thread.
Baitism: post #153 in this thread.
Go Chiefs: post #88 in this thread.
Raised on Riots: post #92 in this thread.
KnowMo2724: post #98 in this thread.
RippedmyFlesh: post #100 in this thread.
KnowMo2724: post #130 in this thread.
Saul Good: post #135 in this thread.
scho63: post #143 in this thread.
Sam Hall: post #145 in this thread.
Phil Free: post #157 in this thread

If a post doesn't have a 2nd nomination it misses the cut to the poll round.

If we don't get more nominations and more support from other posts, it looks like we are going to have a landslide winner so we will skip the poll round and go right to the Final vote and poll.

You want to take a dominant INSIDE lineman and make him a LB?

It's pretty stupid.

Yeah, and we could also draft Taylor Mays and expect him to pack on 25 pounds and play DE. I mean, that's only adding like one meal a day, and he's smart and athletic enough to do it.

What would you want your QB to do on 4th and Goal? Take a sack or try to make a play?

Orton played great last night. With or without that interception.

I was hoping Orton would throw left handed all year.

And what makes this post particularly stupid is that I was being 100 percent serious. Because I have always been a HUGE fan of LJ's, never frequently alluding to him as a completely worthless sack of ****ing shit.

Just ask GoChiefs about my LJ love.

BRC, take the nomination down, please.

Saul Good has made a lot of dumb posts this season, but I'll take the first paragraph and the last three paragraphs of the post below.

I don't hate Nebraska at all. I pull for them when they aren't playing Mizzou. Suh's a stud, but he doesn't impact a game the way that Colt McCoy does or the way that Dez Bryant does.

Nebraska gave up 34 points per game in conference play. To compete in the Big XII, you need offensive weapons because every team can score. I look at their season last year, and it looks like they really improved as the season progressed.

Then I look a little closer and realize that the quality of their competition decreased as the season progressed. 4 of the 5 conference wins came against teams in the bottom 5 of the conference: Iowa State, Colorado, K-State, and Baylor. The only good win was at home against Kansas who was a middle of the road team.

Any way you slice it, Nebraska of 2008 was a very mediocre team. You could be better in 2009, but your schedule is such that 4 conference wins is a good season.

I'll assume victories against Iowa State at home and Kansas State at home. You could easily lose 2 out of 3 at Kansas, at Baylor, and at Colorado. I don't see you winning at Missouri, against Oklahoma, or against Tech.

That looks like 3-4 wins to me. I'm not hating. Tell me where I'm wrong.

Appleal granted and ruling reversed. The academy grants Deeznuts request.

Your hate for LJ could you make you elgible for some other prize, but posting your serious opinion about hating LJ may make you a dumbass in some people eyes, it doesn't qualify as a dumbass post.

Your honor, I have hated LJ since the moment he missed a block in Dallas.
