**C.P. 2009 MVP Award Nominations**

Alas, the time is upon us....

Another wonderful installment of the 2009 Academy Awards.

Brought to you by your wonderful CP Academy.

This award must abide by all of the Academy rules and regulations which can be found here.

The Academy views this award as the most important and distinguished so please take your time in considering who you would like to nominate.

Now then, time for some specifics:

•You may nominate yourself however; you will need three other posters to agree. (We view this as douchebaggery btw)

•Please cite a specific reason why you nominate the poster, you can post a link or just write up a quick few lines about what they contributed in 2009. All nominations must be seconded in order to be considered.

•REMEMBER, this award is for 2009, therefore when you nominate someone make sure it’s for something they did this year.

We don't have a maximum or minimum required amount for nominations, (the more the better IMO)
**EDIT** Maximum is 50.

•Academy members ARE eligible for nomination.

**Edit** Once a nomination is seconded; that's good enough. I don't have time to track how many times one particular poster is nominated.
Thanks.

That means there are 27 guaranteed entrants into the first round. In the Wild Card round, you would take the +1 people and run them all against each other. The top 5 would make it into the playoffs, giving you 32 entrants. Then you seed the remaining participants from 1-32, matching 1 and 32, 2 and 31, 3 and 30, etc.

Of course the numbers would change based on any additional nominations, but it's just a thought.

I love it. If everyone would find it entertaining, I'm sure the rest of the Academy would have no problem making it so.

Unfortunately that pesky little restraining order Lumpy took out on me prevents that from happening.

The way I read this is that Lumpy got a RO against you on behalf of Gonzo. NTTIAWWT, I guess?

No, TISWWT, for sure.

Dude....this is perfect.

There are three other Academy members that need to vote on it....but Flopnuts and I are behind it.

So under the current landscape, the seedings would be as follows:

#1: Gonzo (7)
#2: Mr. Flopnuts (5)
#3: Simply Red (4)
#4. Dane McCloud (4)
#5. Lumpy (4)
#6. Bugeater (4)
#7. Rainman (3)
#8. Demonpenz (3)
#9. FAX (3)
#10.Hamas Jenkins (3)
#11.Deeznuts (3)
#12.Burt (3)
#13.Katipan (3)
#14.Skip Towne (3)
#15.GoChiefs (2)
#16.AustinChief (2)
#17.Bwana (2)
#18.Reaper16 (2)
#19.Baby Lee (2)
#20.Jilly (2)
#21.Big Nasty Kcnut (2)
#22.Fritz88 (2)
#23.Pestilence (2)
#24.Mecca (2)
#25.Sofaking (2)
#26.Logical (2)
#27.OnTheWarpath58 (2)
#28.Iowanian (2)
#29.Bowser (2)

Then the top 6 of the #1's would fill out seeds #27-32, allotted by votes.

Edit: There is a limit of 50 poll options so you'd better cut off nominations pretty soon.
Think about it.

I will update this thread soon and the playoff system is now adopted. I nominate California Chief to assist in the seeding. You're official title is, "Assistant intern to the Vice President."
Go get your blue dress and meet me in my office Monday morning at 0800 sharp.

(your help is appreciated man, thanks)

I'm more than glad to help. Obviously with Christmas obligations my participation might be on and off, but I can help set it up. The first step will be to tell me when nominations are closed. Then we can set up the Wild Card Round. Everyone gets one vote...public of course. The top 6 of the +1 candidates will move on. Here's what I've got so far:

Tiny Evil, California Chief, DaKCManAP, BuckinKaeding, Big Red Chief, First Down Elvis, KurtCobain, Luv, Nzoner, Ultra Peanut, OnTheWarpath58, MicJones, Gblowfish, KeginKC, Frazod, Milkman, KcMizzou, Donger, and Iowanian.

Maybe we could create a poll with the remaining +1 people to get the top 6 that way.
