And the next Head Coach at the University of Florida is...

Too soon?

Anybody else think Steve Spurrier is wearing knee pads and pulling up in the AD's drive?

I don't "know" it. It just never made any sense. It was like Harbaugh going to KU or the Penguins coming to KC. I don't think it's a coincidence that they all got sweetened deals with their current gigs once the rumors started floating.

It would seem that the Big 12 is a better confrence than the one TCU plays in. Like William said he's from Kansas and if he won at K-state he'd be a hero. Nobody cares about TCU football they don't even sell out games.

Isn't this guy a joy to have around? He does nothing but bash programs that aren't MU. Hey Saul, are you aware MU has never won anything in anything? Shut the **** up. Mizzou is trash. The bowl games don't want them and neither does the Big 10.

the way the bcs is set up, Patterson has a better chance to run the table in a bad conference and go to many bcs bowls, than he does winning a national title at ksu, coaching in the Big12.

That and recruiting is easier in TX, than opposing to have players come to Manhattan, one of the worst college towns in the BCS

You guys are a bit mixed up. Boise State is the one that plays in the bad conference. TCU is in the Mountain West. They usually have three top 25 teams (TCU, BYU, and Utah), and recently they've probably been stronger in the bowl season than some of the BCS conferences. So far this season they're 3-0 and have beaten up on the Pac 10.

MWC is definitely better than a few BCS conferences. What TCU does is no fluke. It's disgraceful that Cincinnati finished higher in the final BCS.

I think Patterson won't go to a public college because at TCU he can recruit kids who are athletes regardless of their academic standing. I think he has that edge where UT, A&M, and Tech all have stiff entry requirements, and he can snag strong athletes who can't meet the academic minimums at the other publics. Maybe I am talking out my ass, but that's where I think he draws his successful players. I will happily be disproven, and eat my crow, as i havent done any research to back this. Purely heresay.

Now, as far as K-State goes, I think it is pretty clear cut what will happen within two years' time: Venerables will leave OU for a fat contract at K-State. I mean; I believe it with every bone in my body. I could also go into my "Okay, Gang" sources, but I will at least wait until Snyder re-retires before I hash that all up.

I've said Herm would be a great college coach for a while. The dude has charisma, and players like him, which is all you need to build a successful college program. It's almost all recruiting, and Preacher Herm can do that. He's also a better coach than Pete Carroll.

I'm not bashing anyone, and I like K-State. Sorry your Depends are on too tight. He's maybe the hottest prospect at the moment now that Brian Kelly has gone to ND. I wouldn't be surprised to seem him go to Florida if they don't get Gruden or even to Oklahoma if Stoops were to go to Florida (which I don't see happening). A coach like that just doesn't go to KU or K-State. Even when K-State was much better, they hired Ron Prince. After a 5 year downward spiral which included Snyder's last 2 seasons, they weren't going to land one of the hottest coaches in the game. Hopefully, Snyder can turn them around and get them to a position where they are an attractive spot for a premier prospect. They just weren't there in 2008.

NOoooooooooooooooooooo.

You are probably right, Pete should go undefeated every year with the talent he has stacked up at USC.

It sounds strange to hear that Herm is better then anyone.
