Nick Athan on TV with Jack Harry

Quality stuff from Nick as usual:

50-50 on Haley staying

Bring in Cowher or Shanahan

Pioli needs to be the face of the franchise

If Lamar was alive Todd wouldn't be the coach because he flipped off George.

We are the worst organization in the NFL

To much ego, players are confused and players are quitting

Pay Cowher $10 million a year

On a serious note -

Why in the name of holy **** would Cowher want to jump head first into the mess that this team is? A Lombardi/Belichick/Walsh clone couldn't turn this team around in one year, for god's sake.

Even if Cowher were hired, Jack Harry would still be bitching up a storm the next day.

Welllll the theory goes that............. Cohwer loves the Chiefs and thinks it can be great again, this is what Clark wants and that he would work for and with Clark as much as Pioli. And a nice front office position after he's done coaching.

But, of course that could be BS also. Grains of salt needed.

Cowher loves the Chiefs, huh? Which is precisely why he spent 17 years with the Steelers while the Chiefs job came available 3-4x.

Hence my skeptical nature and belief of this info. This may be one of those rumors feeding itself. I jsut don't see this happening.

The Cowher stuff seems like wishful thinking. Although it always sounds like Clark wants us to be like the Steelers, so I guess that would make sense.

I'm surprised Nick didn't report that Meyer resigned from UF to take the Chiefs job.

The guys literally throws everything out there and hopes one thing sticks.

Both these morons swore that Shanahan was the guy last year and now they've moved onto Cowher...oy vey.

Um, Nick certainly never said Shanahan was going to be the guy.

Where do these urban legends come from?

This particular urban legend comes from an appearance on 810 radio by part-time ESPN reporter and full-time Mike Shanahan fluffer Adam Schefter, who told an amusing tale about Nick sending him an e-mail that declared "THE DEAL IS DONE".

"The deal" in question, of course, was about Shanahan joining the Chiefs.

Look, Nick never "swore" Shanahan was the guy and he's not calling Cowher the guy, either.

You're talking out your ass.
