Nick Athan on TV with Jack Harry

Quality stuff from Nick as usual:

50-50 on Haley staying

Bring in Cowher or Shanahan

Pioli needs to be the face of the franchise

If Lamar was alive Todd wouldn't be the coach because he flipped off George.

We are the worst organization in the NFL

To much ego, players are confused and players are quitting

Pay Cowher $10 million a year

He never felt so strongly about it that he went on record, though. He never reported it.

Your vitriol should be reserved for Adam "Pioli will never be a Chief" Schefter.

He was just guessing, and trying to enhance his status by hoping he guessed right. He didn't report it on his website because he would be laughed at for posting more guessing as fact.

Not a terrible position. If his guess had been right, he would have claimed that although he didn't tell you, he knew it all along. If his guess is wrong, he tells you he knew all along there was nothing to it. Doing nothing and then claiming he was right after the fact.

But he also didn't count on being outed as being the one who sent THE DEAL IS DONE email. That brings the house of cards down. He was exposed in a very obvious way for pulling "information" out of his nether-regions.

I don't go out of my way to spit venom except at Jack Harry and Nick Athan. . . I very well remember the week of Shanahan and Cowher speculation though. I even remember the post Nick had apologizing for being wrong about Shanahan. I don't know if reading that garbage was even worth the free seven day trial I used.

My guess is that this posting has long since disappeared. Am I correct?

Yeah, you typed a lot of words but none of it made much sense.

You look at performance and talent added through the draft while Cowher was in Pitt and it's hard to argue anyone during that span did better.

Then you look at the nearly perfect timing of FA releases/signings and it's amazing. They rarely overspend and any Steeler stud that's let go of hasn't done squat anywhere else since the Panthers became an expansion team.

In short Cowher is a Marty that WINS playoff games...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I thought you said that Cowher was just like Tony Dungy.

I might have to shoot myself in the face.

I'm completely with Athan on almost everything there...

I would never say that but I could see where someone could make a sound argument there...

If Pioli didn't take away WPI's special privileges we'd be reading everything is fine within the organization.
