***Official Chiefs Will Beat Denver Thread***

Three of the Donkeys top receivers including their two best ones are out, the locker room is falling apart, and their QB sucks without star receivers. Last time Hali faced Clady he came away with three sacks. Winning will double our win total from last year and likely lose us the rights to Eric Berry

But it's always nice to beat Denver in Denver no matter the cost. This win will be bittersweet.

He had a busted foot and couldn't do any workouts till well after the draft was over.

The problem I have with Dez Bryant is a lot of people think he is a stupid son of a bitch. Collaborating with Deion Sanders and getting kicked out of the NCAA doesn't prove otherwise..

As I recall he played the whole 2008 season on an injured knee. I think the stress fracture in his foot was a bigger worry, though.

IMO, he's Reggie Bush, without the sand in his 'gina. He's a triple threat who can actually carry the load for a team, unlike Bush.

I know everyone thinks we need a bruiser to pair with Charles, but I'd be happier having two guys that can take it to the house on any given play.
I wish it were possible to have a discussion with a douche like OTW...

Best McClain video I could find. I'd take Spiller before him.

The discussion should be who do the Chiefs draft with the 1st second round pick? Von Miller or The guard from Idaho State? Though I doubt he gets by Pittsburgh in the first round. As for ILB position im telling you Phillip Dillard will be someones steal of the draft.

I'd probably take McClain over Spiller. At this point in the rebuild I see Spiller as more of a luxury pick; I think both the short- and long-term impact of McClain on the team would be greater. I don't think you can oversell just how much of a difference adding somebody of an Urlacher or Lewis calibre to the center of this defense would make.

Not that it wouldn't be great to have Spiller and Charles.

This team is SO weak up the middle, that I think it's a perfectly reasonable argument to say that a guy like McClain could have as big of an impact as a dynamic player who fits into one of the "traditional" playmaker roles.

It's just awfully hard for me to think about drafting an ILB that high, though.

I don't think the drop-off is as steep if we can get a guy like Spikes at the top of round 2. Lots of mocks have him falling this far, but I'm not sure that will actually happen.

I see the possibility. Linebacker is a really, really risky position, though.

Another thing in the equation for me is RB longevity. I think 1st round picks at that position, especially high ones, are really risky because the life cycle of an NFL RB is so short, as opposed to players at other positions that regularly produce well into their 30s.

I should clarify, I'm not actually promoting McClain at 3. But if it comes down to Spiller versus McClain, that's how I'd go.

If we're at 3, I would hope we'd have other alternatives. McClain and Spiller would be more of a question if we were able to trade down, I think. I don't see either going as high as we pick. I think the top 3 are some combination of Suh, Berry and Clausen.

All I really hope is that we don't take Okung.

Agreed, but we would be running a split back system if we took Spiller, so the wear and tear would be lessened. I would go with the higher ROI with Spiller.

I don't think you spend the 3rd pick of the draft on a player unless you intend to run him into the ground. That was the main problem I had with the Reggie Bush pick.
