Hes not used in coverage the same way as Berry is... but I really think he could cover in the right scheme and I think all of his problems are coachable.. you really should expect rookies to be projects their first few years anyways. Bob Saunders really wasn't a coverage guy either.. but like Mays he could hit and break up passes. The difference is Mays is much bigger, faster, more athletic, and not injury prone. I've heard a lot of Roy Williams comparisions that I really don't see.. but even so Roy Williams was a Pro Bowl Safety every year in this scheme under Parcells. I see Mays as a SS for us which I think would utilize his talents and not waste them like being a FS in a Cover One defense does.
