BossChief, you are fairly new on this BB. If I'm not mistaken I know you from Chiefscoalition.com. I chalk up your neg-rep to your lack of familiarity with the history on this board. This board was full of classy posters whose posts were informative and substance oriented. Now most of those guys have had enough of the infestation of the classless bully wannabes. Some have totally left. Some rarely ever post anymore. And some only lurk because the scum has taken over. I tune in the get informed about my Chiefs and to engage in good debates. I believe it's the right of EVERY decent poster to be able to do that without concerns about being insulted before the rest of the CPers and called names for every other post they register here. This shit has driven away some very quality posters and I will not be surprised if more like Rain Man, FAX, and others leave soon. I will probably be the last of them to leave, but before that, I will do my best to try to disinfect this BB and save it for the decent posters. Call it bitching all you want, but if you feel you are a quality poster you would see the point and support it.

In the beginning there were quality posters, and only a couple of dumbasses like you.

The board became infested with dumbasses like you over time.

That's what changed.

I actually used to be a hell of a nice guy around here, but dumbasses like you needed to be told they are dumbasses.

I have heard others say this stuff too. I think it is BS for a couple reasons.

1) Im sure many of them dont go to games anymore either, that surely cant be blamed on the "meanies" on the planet.

2) When things are going so bad for the team, who wants to talk about it a few times per day? ONLY US DIEHARD FANS, and for what its worth losing has surely worn on all of us and at times its hard not to blow up at people for not being objective. Sometimes the truth hurts and alot of the guys you dislike are right more than they are wrong.

3) FACT: ChiefsPlanet had more posts in 2009 than in any previous year of its existance...not just more but 25% more!!!! Some have left and some have been gained.

I have a legitimate question for you man, if "certain posters" bother you so much, just put them on ignore. Simple as that.

You know as well as I do that the Coalition is more like the "tailgate" experience of BB where as the Planet is more of the "smack talking, on the field" atmosphere.

I enjoy both types of conversation. I enjoy the conversation here more-so than there because of the let it fly style of the board and if it softened up it would be no different than the Coalition, so whats the point? I LOVE the diversity here and would be VERY disapointed if this place lost some of its more violently tempered posters such as the ones you seem to enjoy tangling with (or else you wouldnt stop by threads they are in and poke them with sticks from time to time)

If I can make a suggestion to you, just put a couple of them on ignore and dont engage in personal attacks any longer.

Believe me, if you ignore it and there is no satisfaction for them to throw stones, they will lose interest and move on. You have a bunch of rep, go back to posting quality material that earned those points rather than lowereing yourself to the level of those throwing stones. Some of these guys have left for a few years now. They were no less a die hard fan than you and I.

This does not excuse the fact that the place is going to shit. A lot of the newcomers who are attracted in are the type that were not tolerated in the better days of the BB. They just come in, some straight from HS and find the place quite high-schoolish.

"Certain posters" do not bother me for me. They bother me for what they do to the environment of this BB. I've gone over that already and won't repeat it. In the past I have tried the IGGY and quickly found it unpleasant that I was being attacked without knowing. I have NEVER backed out from anything and anybody when my values and principals are involved. Putting folks on ignore puts you in a disadvantage against the the who are messing up the Planet. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind an atmosphere in which SOME envelop-pushing is done. After all this is a Football forum. But some of this shit has gone on too long and the bottom-feeders have gone over the line too many times. Like I said, I'll do my part to help disinfect the forum some before I even think about leaving. I just hope the silent majority will help along.

One more thing: When I have already declared that I want to expose the low-lives of the BB why should I cut myself off from all the material? Just does not make sense.

I agree with you that the Coalition is more on the dull side. That's why I don't post there too often. This is a more dynamic Chiefs site. But is that a license to be total ass-holes as members? Again, I would be disappointed if some put downs and needling didn't go on here, but I'm talking about inmates taking over and taking things way over the line on in terms of personal attacks. It has become very toxic.

I have tried before. It has not worked. Trust me. I don't consider myself the brightest poster here, but I decided long ago to meet the Neanderthals on their own turf and still beat them in debates. When they start PMing each other and resort to neg-repping for just any post, I know they are defeated in the wit department and are now desperate. BON I find it rather satisfying.
