LaCanfora: ‘Chiefs Are Most Likely Landing Spot For Weis’

Man, I run out to pick up some beer and I come back and the Chiefs are closing in on their new offensive coordinator. You may remember, just over an hour ago we told you Adam Shefter reported that Romeo Crennel is likely to be the Chiefs next defensive coordinator. Well, not to be outdone, ason LaCanfora is reporting that Charlie Weis could be filling the role of Offensive Coordinator.

From LaCanfora’s Twitter feed:

“Continue to hear the most likely landing spot for Charlie [Weis] is as the offensive coordinator of the Chiefs.”

What do you think Addicts? Do you like the possibility of a Pioli, Haley, Crennel and Weis team?

Both are huge upgrades to what we have now. Haley and Weis collaborating on the offense would be a very, very good thing.

It also shows me that this staff and GM aren't afraid to make immediate changes, which is something Vermeil/Herm would never do.

Really, if this all turns out to be true, it as a HUGE upgrade to our coaching staff. Even though it holds us up to mockery for raiding New England's former coaches, it's worth it. The team will improve on both sides of the ball.

I think that any football knowledge or strategy that can be brought to our sideline would be a welcome addition. I would prefer Cowher over the haley failure only because haley has no idea how to steer the ship or delegate anything. I also do not believe that haley will be able to put his ego aside and let two strong coordinators do their jobs.

While Haley may or may not succeed...to call him a failure at this point is very, very premature. Give the guy a chance. The talent box is pretty limited at this point.

I think Haley has learned a lot and next season the Chiefs will be much improved. If he brings in those two coordinators I will be very optimistic. I would love to see things turn around and Haley be here for the next 10 years or so. I think he can do it.

Anyone dumb enough to call a first year head coach a failure should just die. Seriously, how ****ing stupid can you be? It would be a different situation if he were taking over a good team, but he took over one of the worst teams in the league and you really expected immediate results? JFC

I wonldnt be disapointed if we added RC/CW but I think we can do better.

Having four former superbowl level coordinators (if Clancy would be retained as a position coach) would be a legitimate coaching staff.

Like I said though, we can do better.
