***Official Chiefs Will Beat Denver Thread***

Three of the Donkeys top receivers including their two best ones are out, the locker room is falling apart, and their QB sucks without star receivers. Last time Hali faced Clady he came away with three sacks. Winning will double our win total from last year and likely lose us the rights to Eric Berry

But it's always nice to beat Denver in Denver no matter the cost. This win will be bittersweet.

That's not what I'm looking for at 3. I'm looking for a great player that won't take years to reach his ceiling. The price of the player dictates that.

Yeah but on the same token the way Berry plays he seems more like a CB than he does a Safety. Just like the way Mays plays he may seem more like a LB than a Safety. I see Berry as someone similar to DJ(not the bust way), but he seems like the avoid contact type guy and I don't think Berry will be making many big hits in the NFL. I think Mays will still be making the big hits and hes that fearful presence on the field.

Rule#1 - No RB's in the draft.

Rule#2 - See Rule#1.

A Prime Mover is in place already, would it be nice to take an available stud RB? of course, but this team needs growth at a position wide list of players.

RB isnt in the dire need as so many other positions, instead of another back, how about a lineback?

I dont care what anyone says, i just read an article yesterday that talked about how an uncapped year would be far more strict & controlled but many players would be available regardless, just with tighter rules in place. Far fewer, if any, top tier players going elsewhere. But if any position group will be plentiful IMO, it will be RB... there will be plenty of talent around to complement Charles with in free agency with.

Safety, nose, linebacker, guard, center, right tackle, receiver, whatever... anyfrickinthing besides RB.

FWIW, I think keg is right. As nice as spiller would be, he's a luxury. McClain isn't that big of a reach and unlike spiller, he actually helps a position that's in deep need.

But hopefully berry will still be on the board during our pick....so we can skip over him and draft okung. To the bicycle!!!!!!

I really don't need a safety that will make big hits. Just one with excellent coverage and can wrap up when making a tackle. Why is being able to make big hits necessary? That's more of a linebackers job. If an RB gets past the linebackers, I don't want a safety to go for the big hit and either end up missing, or have the RB just bounce off of him. I want a safety that will wrap up and take him to the grounder. I don't care if its a hit around the chest, or an ankle biter, just WRAP THE **** UP! For some reason, chiefs safeties can never do that.

Are people going to say after the Chiefs win the SB in two or three years: 'It was nice to win the SB but is it worth the cost of having to pick number 32?'

It is always, without exception, better that the chiefs always win, period!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to the schedule, Rustshack is correct, if a little grammatically sloppy.

The Chiefs will indeed be at Denver today.

See and thats what I don't like coming from a defensive player. I think to be a really good defensive player in the NFL, you gotta be willing to get nasty, downright and dirty, get in there don't avoid the contact. All the great defensive players do this, and how can anyone improve their tackling skills if they avoid contact? That's the way I look at it.

As much as he is praised for his athletic ability, that'll only get him so far. Its not enough. To be a good safety in the NFL, it involves more. You gotta be willing to be mean, dirty, and nasty. All the great safeties possessed those characteristics from Ronnie Lott to Troy Polamalu, and even Kenny Easley.

To be a great safety its like you gotta have a bit of both linebacker in you, and cornerback in you. I see the cornerback in Berry, but not the linebacker.
