Your Super Bowl Bandwagon - Why?

A simple enough premise, who is your pick to win it all & why?

I'm feeling Minnesota...

1) Favre - i dont care if you hate him, that late season physical breakdown the haters have been calling for all year is nowhere to be found. Were talking about a HOF player in a system he knows like his own momma. His arm is still 90% of what its ever been & he wants to go out on top... he'll play great ball in the playoffs. Again, a HOF QB playing the best ball of his career... that spells WIN.

2) Adrian Peterson, though he's had an off year by his standards, he still has to be respected on every single play.

3) Those WR's, whew, pick your poison... big, physical possession type with the speed to get deep enough, an Alvin Harper - Go Deep - clone & the hands down best slot man in the league who can turn any play into 6.

4) That D has talent at every position group, stuff the run, rush the passer... they have the 2 most important factors covered. Henderson may be out, but Greenway is no slouch. The only real chink they have is the secondary, minus Winfield. But with that front 4 you dont need an All-Pro backfield.

5) Add all of that up & theres no reason to doubt them IMO, the Eagles are too one dimensional, the Saints D is still suspect. The only teams capable of giving them a run IMO are Green Bay or Dallas... & Dallas? i think the Iggles get revenge on sunday anyway, so they're out.

Thats my wagon, which star are you hitching your ride to?

The Vikings, for a lot of the same reasons... Adrian Peterson, Harvin, Jared Allen.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Packers either.... I watched quite a bit of Rodgers when I was up that way for work during his first season. Ryan Grant was the best FF move I've ever made, so I like him, too.

The Saints are entertaining, too, and I have family in LA that are rooting for them.

I'd like to see Peyton Manning win another one, too.

So, not really on anyone's bandwagon... just keep the NFC East teams out of it. And LJ. I think I'm safe there.

It's a reach, but.....

The Ravens are my other team, and they're really better than their record indicates.

They're also worse than their record indicates.

At their worst, the Ravens are incredibly stupid and undisciplined. Their receivers after Mason are below league average. Their corners are average on their best days.

But at their best, the defense is filled with playmakers, Flacco has a huge arm and is tough to bring down, Mason and Heap are clutch and Ray Rice is the new Brian Westbrook.

So it's not a bandwagon and it's not realistic, but I'll be rooting for the Ravems as long as they're in it.

Who else thought when Thigpen was bringing the Dolphins back yesterday scoring two touchdowns...that this place would implode with "whyd we get rid of Thiggy"..only to watch him toss it to the other team.

They don't stand a chance. They are waaaayy to banged up to make it to the SB. Their backups have been playing well above their talent level.

I pick the Colts to win it all.

And we all know how their season is going to end already. Favre throwing the ball to the wrong team.
I just dont see the vulnerability, all of the skill positions are loaded to the hilt.

As for Favres penchant for pix, it hasnt been there this year, its the lowest total of his career & its easy to see why with that supporting cast, he doesnt have to 'make something happen' anymore... just let Peterson go to work & throw play-action medium to deep.

But thats your take & i can respect that... i wont get too worked up over my bandwagon team .

I gotta go with the Vikings as well. After coming so close to winning a Superbowl with KC Jared Allen deserves it.

...wait...wait...I almost typed that without laughing.

but seriously...Vikings is my pick.

Every postseason I pick a team and if they get bounced, pick another and so on.

That said my order this year

1.Packers
2.Saints
3.Bengals
4.Patriots
5.Vikings
6.Cardinals
7.Eagles

After this I could give 2 shits as I literally hate all the teams but to finish it off

8.Jets
9.Ravens
10.Chargers
11.Cowboys
12.Colts

All I ask is that it's not the Cowboys and Colts because I may seriously boycott watching a Superbowl game.
