So who did you play pro football for? Since, judging by your sarcasm, apparently you think you know better than we do. Opinions are like assholes. We all have one, and we all think ours smells nicer than everyone else's.

McGinest was washed up years ago. Just more of the sour grapes from ex-Patriots, claiming they know better. He hasn't been there for four f**king years. He doesn't know jack shit about that locker room, it's leadership, or the lack thereof. He just wants a soundbite and to feel relevant again, 'cause he hasn't been relevant on the football field since he left New England.

I'll say it again: leadership is nice. Talent is better.

Cuz young arrogant guys like Brandon Marshall acting the way he does in training camp is conducive to winning. Sorry if anyone thinks it wasn't his fault he sat out the Chiefs game, but it was. He let the team down, not McDaniels. Rules, expectations and guidelines were in place, and they didn't fall in line. The only way to stop dissension before it grows is to handle it as soon as it rears it's ugly head. Is it McDaniels team, or Brandon Marshalls? Who should the lockerroom leader be, Orton or Marshall? Who's got the attitude you want your players to carry? Talents great, but you don't want a leader who breeds laziness and rebellion. Do what is asked of you, do your job.

Anyone here ever have a job where you work with a core group of guys? Where did the leader of that group (either appointed by management, or just the guy the employees look to for direction) stand on the matter of what was expected of them by the boss?

A guy with a negative tone and attitude is a cancer to the group. Dissension in the ranks is a bad thing for team conductivity whether it be on a football team, at a job, or any other place where structure and teamwork are important.

Cancer's get cut out. Young minds are influential. If you want your youth to be great, they need someone to look up to with all the right attitudes and work ethic, but they also need to produce in order to command respect. This team needs some solid veteran leadership, but not from the typical Patriots well.

McGinest is washed up and needs to look toward commentating, but his understanding of the "Patriot Way" is correct. It has nothing to do with the Patriot's in fact, it's a formula for building any successful form of team, athletic, or business. Cancer's lead with their mouth's, true leaders lead by example. Not only that, but they know when to let things go, or when it's time to step up and say something.

I agree with dissing the "Patriot Way", but only for the fact that it's being called something it's not. The Patriots didn't invent good business structure, that's been around for years.
