News Anderson Cooper is the ****ing man.

Interesting decision by Anderson to decide to get involved in the action rather than just report it. I definitely support his decision, there are enough journalists down there reporting about everything going wrong, it's great to see one act with human emotion, step up and help out in a time of need. Similar to Dr. Sanjay Gupta performing brain surgery on a girl down there as well.

Exactly, i dont see how anyone could maintain 'journalistic objectivity/distance' in a situation like that... most people would have to get involved.

Anderson's actions were awesome, but Dr. Sanjay Gupta has been a rock star. The story about how those doctors and nurses left the "hospital" due to security concerns and he stayed and watched after those 25 people all night by himself. Kids need role models, that's one right there.

Sanjay is a saint. First off for saying no to Obama and actually staying in a position where he can actually work for change and help people.
