Peyton Manning

So...

Do you guys still think Tom Brady is better than Peyton Manning?

Everyone always said that he played with the better supporting cast...which is why Tom was better.

Now Peyton is playing behind a terrible offensive line and throwing to the likes of Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon...having arguably his best year ever...just like I always said...it wasn't the OTHER players...it was Peyton Manning.

So...

Is Brady still better than Manning?

Just curious.

My only point is that he's not the GOAT, and he'll have a tough road to go to get there from here.
He's not clutch... period.

Peyton Manning does things on the field no other QB can do...he makes throws the best QB's can't make...he is the total package and if people can't watch the game, watch him play, and then say to themselves, "wow, he's better than anyone I've ever watched!"...then they just don't know what they are watching...

It's my opinion, it will always be my opinion (until something comes around that I deem better), and that's how it's going to be.

So if you all want to argue about inferior QB's (Brady) being better because they got more rings on superior teams...then I'll just think of you as idiots and laugh...that's what I do anyways...

The saints defense wasn't fine either. Wtf is your point? Manning had the chance to go tie the game up, instead he channeled his inner Matt Cassel and threw a terrible pass.

With NOs ability to make turnovers, I think they were a lot better than people think they were.

They had TEN Defensive TDs this year!

NO made a good break on it too. Manning should have know he couldn't lace it in there, but you have to give credit to NO for getting it. They've had a nose for turnovers ALL YEAR!

No Hootie, this thread was bumped because you proclaimed Manning Quperbowl Champ before it was ever played. Of course we are going to rub your nose in that.

Look I'm sorry for anyone to say Manning sucked and then talk about Brees awesome game speaks to someone just reading a stat line and nothing else.

Drew Brees threw a bunch of 3 yard passes, there was nothing special there, the Saints did what they had to do to win the game but really it was not a special performance by any means unless the checkoff is your thing.

Both teams had almost the same TOP, yet somehow according to Mecca, the Saints offense kept the ball away from the Indy offense most of the game....

There was one part where the Saints did a good job of that and almost had a full quarter of possession, but in the long run, both teams had the ball for the same amount of time, so that argument doesn't fly.

You know frankly at this point we shouldn't be making any kind of jokes seeing as our team can't even make a bowl.

Brees won and played a nearly perfect game. What the fuck does the guy have to do to make you see that and appreciate it? Does he have to win two Super Bowls? Three, four? He's won as many as Manning has. Don't rack on him for having a different style of play, if it WORKS.

Manning didn't suck, he choked. There's a difference. Sucking takes a whole game. Choking is one BIG play.

wow we forgot about that Jets game really fast...

that AFC Championship game wasn't clutch?

Holy shit...

in that game...

he was more clutch than Tom Brady EVER had to be...

I'm sorry...

Wow...

and I'm going to say this for the LAST TIME tonight, in fact, this is my last post because I have to work tomorrow morning and want to watch a few shows I DVR'd...

Tom Brady is not clutch for those Super Bowls...

he didn't make any crucial mistakes...he made several great checkdown throws in 2001...he had one good postseason game in 2003...I agree...

Adam Vinatieri on the other hand...he was clutch...

so...

this whole "in the clutch" shit is just...

bullshit.

Team sport...11 guys...

for every Peyton "choke", I can show you a Brady "choke", and even reference a Montana postseason "choke"...

it's not always the damn QB...

I wish people could figure that out...

The Patriots held the "Greatest Show on Turf"...a team averaging about 90 PPG that season...to 3 points through 3 quarters...

but yeah Brady is clutch

Yup, Porter said that he knew what was going to happen the whole way. "We knew that on third and short they stack, and they like the outside release for the slant. It was great film study by me, a great jump and a great play," Porter said.

Better tell Peyton to switch up his plays a bit.
