Completely irrelevant. He said that power runners with a straight up running style who had success in college were going to get pounded in the NFL. Eric Dickerson, one of the greatest running backs in the history of the league, was exactly that type of guy. There was no caveats about generational gaps or the style of play in the league now versus then.

And one could argue that with the offensive focus on the passing game, especially since 2004, that the field has been opened up more now versus Dickerson's time.

The only upright runner is Chris Brown and he's had a shaky career at best. Guys do not run that way anymore in the NFL.
