Fantasy baseball just around the corner... keeper options

Poll to follow. Team One is a 12 team 4 keeper league, Team Two is a 12 team 8 keeper league. So choose up to 4 and 8 players respectively. Obviously team 1 is loaded with keeper options and team to I sold off my keepers last year at the deadline to make a run at winning the league back to back. It looks like I won't be keeping 8 in this league and taking my lumps unless I find several diamonds late and off the wire this year. The round the player may be kept is the number next to the players name.

Baseball is just around the corner so let's talk some FBB.

March 1 is the keeper deadline for league 1. Right now I am set on keeping Tommy Hanson and Justin Upton. My other two will likely be Votto and Kinsler, but Wieters is very intriguing as well. Votto and Kinsler both playing in parks the ball just flies out of have me leaning that way over Wieters though.

I am actually giving quite a bit of thought to keeping Upton in the 16th, McCutchen in the 23rd, Hanson in the 18th and Wieters in the 22nd. Possibly switching out Wieters for Votto in the 13th.

I think that 2B is so much deeper this year than it has been in years past I can let Kinsler back into the draft pool and not regret it too much. I expect Brandon Phillips to have a nice bounce back year this season.

Think I am nuts to go either of those routes?

So, what did you decide?

My primary league auction is tomorrow morning and will be an all day affair. I can't wait to get started.

I ended up keeping Upton, Broxton, Hanson and King Felix (in the fourth round)which I don't think I listed. I went this route as I now have the #1 RP a top 3-5 SP and another possible top 15-20 SP in this league that pitching goes crazy early. Now I will just draft bats until about round 8-10.

Yeah, I'd bet on Hanson being a comparable pitcher to King Felix this season. You did well, IMO.

I feel pretty good about the team in this league. As always, only time will tell, but I am not overly thrilled about Uggla at 2B and my pitching depth is a little worrisome.

C: Bengie Molina
1B: Prince Fielder
2B: Dan Uggla
SS: Jason Bartlett
3B: Gordan Beckham
OF: Justin Upton, Andre Ethier, Andrew McCutchen, Connor Jackson, Michael Stanton

SP: Felix Hernandez, Tommy Hanson, Yovani Gallardo, Jorge De La Rosa, Johnny Cueto, Andy Pettite, Oliver Perez, Brandon Morrow, Jeremy Hellickson

RP: Jonathan Broxton, Frank Francisco, Leo Nunez
