Interesting debate going on about Urban Meyer developing QBs.

Charles Davis and Mayock going full reerun because Alex Smith was #1 overall and Mayock says "you can't say that Urban Meyer can't develop quarterbacks".

Faulk, "He hasn't".

Mayock is now showing film on Tebow that completely undermines his own point.

Eisen, to Mayock: "How did you not just make his point?"

Faulk is 100% correct.

If I'm a stud QB prospect in high school, the last place I'm going is to the U of F if I'm interested in going to the next level.

He's definitely right.

The funny thing about Mayock is that this debate mirrors his public perception.

Spread Option QBs look great at first, just like he did. Then, the more you see them, the more you realize they aren't suited for the pro game, just like the more you see Mayock, the more you realize he's a ****tard.

I've learned over the years to simply tune out Mayock when he's talking, but he and Charles Davis and the NFL Network provide the best, most comprehensive (Hey Laz, there's "comprehensive" used properly) film breakdown on prospects available.

Yeah.

No worse system for QB development than the spread option.

Lets wait and see how John Brantley performs this year. He's a definite NFL style QB with a live arm and great accuracy. It'll be interesting to see how much (hopefully a lot) they change the offense towards his strengths.
