However, there have been some dumbasses claiming that Earl Thomas >> Mays.

FWIW, I still think Mays has every bit the career that Berry does, but he'll make a different kind of impact.

It's not bashing. With all that speed he should have been able to make a lot more plays on the ball. His recognition and ball skills are lacking. Everyone knows Mays is a fantastic athlete, but there is a reason why he slipped in most rankings after game film grades were handed in.

Most questions are not about his athleticism, but that athleticism translating to ball skills, taking proper angles and playmaking ability.

I'm partial to him, and that's no secret. He does whatever he's asked to do and he does it well. Who else in college ball played centerfield the way he did?

I'm not saying it's not due to what he was asked to do, but people point to his lack of "numbers" and I have seen him take poor angles. I'm interested to see how he does in field drills over the next 30-60mins.

Me too. He's a hometown boy for me, I'm incredibly biased and have always admitted it.
