I'd say yes.

It's not him Per se that people have a problem with. Maybe he can play? Maybe he can't.

It's that everybody they bring in they have history with. Are they not looking at guys with an objective eye around the league who they don't know as much?

It then becomes not the best talented team they can assemble. Rather the best talented team of guys they know they can assemble. That's a problem.

I know some of you are joking. But for those of you who are seriously bitching here:

Jesus Christ.

Shut the f**k up, you bunch of f**king whining f**ksticks.

There's no info on this. No info that it's legit, no info on what they'd offer him, no info on ANYTHING. And you all f**king jump all over it like chicks on the f**king rag. I swear to God, most of you sand-in-the-vagina cockpolishers DON'T DESERVE a f**king good football team. Some of you are the most miserable bunch of fans I've ever seen.

I can see it now. You and the KC media are gonna run Pioli, Haley, and Cassel all out of town, and then three years from now they'll all be on the Raiders celebrating a SB win and you'll all be whining about "why can't the Chiefs find guys like that?!?"

He's probably looking for depth. He's probably looking to sign the guy to a cheap-shit contract. But you all bitch like he just handed the guy $40 million f**king dollars and made him the starter. I swear, do you all follow him around and bust his balls? When he's in the supermarket and picks up a roll of Bounty, do a bunch of menstruating guys start screaming from behind him, "What the f**k are you doing, you IDIOT?!? YOU SHOULD KNOW TO BUY BRAWNY!!! WHAT THE F**K DID WE HIRE YOU FOR?!?!?!?!?"

I swear, it's like "The Idiot's Guide To Tourette's" around here. No matter what gets posted, no matter who it's about, good news or bad, unfounded rumor or fact, a bunch of you jump in like Rain Man (not the poster Rain Man, the character Rain Man). "Pioli sucks, Haley sucks, Cassel sucks, they suck, Pioli's an idiot, they suck, they suck..." God. I'm f**king tired of hearing it, and I've only been here a short while and ain't even a Chiefs fan. I don't know how actual fans stay upbeat here. You lot are what Pitino was referring to as the Celtics coach when he commented on "the fellowship of the miserable". Just shut the f**k up until around October, already. If the Chiefs come out of the gate 0-4, load up the guns and start shooting. But, for f**k's sake, the next six months around here are gonna be BRUTAL if you all don't chill out.

LEAVE PIOLI ALONE!!!

Oh, yeah, and, as a Patriots fan, I can tell you LeKevin Smith sucks ass.

Well put.

I just hope that people don't hate the individuals because of this concern. I don't care where he came from, I want him to blossom into a superstar.

But yeah, I wish they'd expand more beyond the Patriots as their talent search. At the same time, they have brought in other guys. Chambers, for example. Ndukwe. Alleman. Long.

My hope is that they'll bring on some guys who'll succeed.

Well personally, I lehate him because in le2005 the ledumbass picked up a lefumble in the LeTexas Tech game and all that LeKevin had to do is lefall to leground and LeNebraska would've won the legame, but instead the ledumbass thinks he's going to lerun it 70 yards back for a letouchdown and ends up lefumbling the leball back to LeTexas Tech setting up their legame winning letouchdown.

only thing i see in trying to make sense of it is if they try him at NT for a minimum contract. guy probably doesn't have teams beating down his door for an offer. I like the DE situation with Dorsey Jackson(needs a big step up in production obviously) Magee and Gales. Walrus Gilberry fits nicely as a pass rusher like Jarvis Green did in NE. He might not be a prototype 5tech but plays it undersized and shows alot of heart doing so. Also in the Hali mode as a rusher.

I know Gales played some NT in his college days at Troy and his time last season. I don't see any of the others DE's we have playing much NT. Maybe Dorsey depending on what crennel wants to do with him but only in a limited role. On the FA front all the good NT's got tagged and its going to be hard to find some who actually want to play a 2 gap 3-4 NT of the guys who actually fit the bill size wise.

Jermail Porter the NE project OL we sign to the PS and is now on the roster, could get a shot at NT also IMO. They list him at OL not specifically T, G, or C. I think in NE in last year's camp they tried him at both OL and DL. He's the wrestler like stephen neal that was able to use his backgroud into a football career. Odds are it won't work at all but he might wind up at NT just because they may need bodies there.

it would be the kind of signing you'd expect post draft and they didn't have enough bodies after the draft itself and rookie FA signings/Tryouts.
