I don't believe the Chiefs will draft remotely that well, sorry I just don't see it.

If we had hired someone from Baltimore or Indy that would be one thing, but this is what we have.

So, in essense, you are suggesting that this team be built through free agency.

The Redskins are the model franchise for you.

I'm sorry, while I also question Pioli's ability to draft, I am not going to ever get behind the idea of signing big name free agents to build with.

Especially if we have to sign them at the prices they have signed for. Peppers was the only player really worth his hype and he got 42 mil in 3 years. Do we really want to pay that?

What big name FAs should we have picked up mecca?

I think Dansby and Rolle got reasonable contracts for what FA's get and we are a team that literally has no payroll.

While I agree with your overall assertion, some of this depends what one considers a "big name" guy.

For example, in past seasons, Jason Brown and Bart Scott were definitely top FAs, who probably lacked the name recognition for Joe Fan. But they were "big" in the sense that they backed up the Brinks truck, and I'd be fine with that.
