Chiefs Face A Perception Problem

It's a huge problem and it's been discussed many times.

No one expected the Chiefs to go spend 150 million dollars or anything really stupid, but asking them to pursue 1 top FA or sign a couple of the 2nd or 3rd tier guys isn't really asking to much when they essentially haven't spent money in 3 or 4 years.

One can always have this kind of response. The answer is that over time, a team will sign some players IF they are seriously trying. There has been plenty of time over the years, and plenty of time to measure the results, and it has led to one of the worst records in the NFL.

No, but the Chiefs SHOULD have done more via FA over the past few seasons (especially on the OL) instead of signing the retreads we did. Now is where the always popular responses of "Name them" or your "How do you know the Chiefs didn't try?" come in. I've already answered # 2, and # 1 has been answered and discussed at great length over the years. My point that IMO, the Chiefs have not been as aggressive as they should have been via FA the past few seasons, regardless of the state of teh team.

Oh I thought you were talking about just this season. But yeah, this team has been ****ing up the previous seasons in FA.

Sorry for the confusion. I was talking about prior seasons as well. I also don't
want or expect the Chiefs to go on a FA spending spree to "make up" for wasted years. I just want them to add some quality FA's rather than what we have been used to lately.
