UPDATE: I listened to the advice given and broke off things before it could get really serious. I simply told her although I'm flattered by her interest, because she is married, I would never go down the route. Further I told her, she has to stop sending me messages via my work email that can if looked at more closely create a whole new set of problems at work. At which point, she told me that she's never felt this way and that she didn't realize until it was too late (now) and that she agrees that we don't want to go further with this as it could lead to many problems. After which we continued talking but about other work related items.

In retrospect, I don't know what I was thinking because if I was in the other guys shoes, I would be furious.

Thanks guys, I think I dodged a potential bullet there.

True story.

My bud is in the military. When they were on leave, one of his close friends met some lady in her 30's, went back home and ****ed her. The MR. came home, and beat the 20 year old kid to death with a baseball bat.

My buddy is still kind of torn up about it.

In these situations you should be damn sure you know what you're doing. Talk about it first. If you feel like you may not be able to trust her, then just ask her.

"Have you had an affair before?" If the answer is yes, then it's a pretty safe bet that she knows what she's doing. If the answer is "no" then just ask her if she is sure about this.

Blitz, don't take her home with you. and don't be a dumbass and you wont get caught. It's not like you're having to look over YOUR shoulder here. You're not the one cheating. If you know the husband will be home in an Hour, dont try to squeeze in a quickie. Just be smart about your shit.

And dont let her know where you live at first. Just in case.

You're assuming that he IS the violent type. And you're assuming that he'll even catch you or find out who you are.

If you're going to be so worried about him, then find out about him. Just ask her what she thinks. Ask her, "And what if we get caught?"

Odds are pretty good she doesn't wanna get caught either, and she would have much more to lose than you. She knows her Husband well enough to get a good idea of how he'd react.

And just don't get caught. Be smart.

And who's to say this affair even lasts? Maybe she just wants a one time hit it and quit it deal.

Just don't man. You never know what will happen. My friend at work who knew about my ordeal with this chick at work told his wife who was friends with the chick. Well, my friends wife gets pissed off at me and calls said hubby, who checks cell phone and calls my house. It just so happens the hubby's dad is friends with my dad, so they call him and vent about me, they know where I live blah blah.

Then the jackass has the nerve to say shit to my dad one night out at a restaurant while I just lived a block away. Told him that he did a poor job of raising his kid, he was going to call the cops because for some reason he thought he was after this chick, when actually she is calling and emailing me nonstop. He figured better to say something to a 170lb 50 year old man, then confront a 25 year old dude he knew nothing about. I felt horrible about that whole thing and knew I was in the bad, but if he had an issue with me walk down the street and take care of it.

Anyways. It was was stupid and it's never ever worth it.
