Place the picks you would have taken with the Chiefs picks based on who was available at the time. This should be a fun thread to bump in a year or two to see how we would have done. No trades, you just pick from the list of players available when the Chiefs picked.

1. Eric Berry
2A. Jimmy Clasen
2 B. Golden Tate
3A. Jon Asamoah
3B Dennis Pita
5A Cam Thomas
5B Matt Tentant

So I can't win this draft 3 years later when it's crystal clear that Eric Berry could be a Hall of Famer. I'm okay with that though. I think a franchise QB is the most important position on the field and I'll live with the decision.

1. Jimmy Clausen
2a. Taylor Mays
2b. Golden Tate
3a. Jon Asomoah
3b. Jimmy Graham
5a. Cam Thomas
5b. Selvish Capers
I saw people taking Butler with 3b but he was gone by that pick, that's the only reason I didn't take him. Everyone should know by now I was all over that guy.

It should read "every instance I draw breath."

Instant makes no sense. Just like the Chiefs trading up for Moeaki.

Can't really argue with any of those, but since I already posted one back on the 26th:
1 Eric Berry, FS
2a Jimmy Clausen, QB
2b Golden Tate, WR
3 Donald Butler, ILB
4 Clay Harbor, TE
5a Perrish Cox, CB

ROR, this is a thread proving one way or the other.

You should post your mock.

...

This is a good thread, was there a similar one from years past?

I don't DO mocks because there are really only two things I want:

1) A legit QB in round 1 and when that is done,

2) The best player available in round 1 every year after.

Until we get that QB, plotting and scheming over round three just seems like a waste of time to me.

so draft Clausen at 5 and go from there.

If you feel we should have gone in a different direction, show what direction you think they should have gone.

This is all in fun.

Exactly, BUT!

I'm talking about next year because what is done is done for 2010, yes?

Now obviously, I take Berry and hope that Clausen is either attainable at 2a, which he clearly could have been, or I throw down the deuces towards the end of round one and make my grab.
In hindsight, making the grab looks foolish considering how far he fell, but I'm still doing it, and **** anyone who has a problem with it because I don't have the luxury of hindsight while Carolina is waiting to get on the clock.

Don't you people support your team? Do you really think you know more about these players, and how they'd fit with this team than I do? Get off your high horse. We're trying to win a championship over here.
