Annual beginning of the year canoe race/camp trip from Manhattan to Lawrence in 1983; some freshman girl, who had to be Mormon or Seventh Day Adventist....latched herself to me during the evening after some adult beverages, right before the camp out on an island in the middle of a hot, misquito infested Kansas river.
