I look at it as a sort of penance for being an epic dumbass (I HATE assembling stuff like that).

All things considered, it wasn't that bad. The box didn't fit in the trunk, so I just tied it to the roof the car and brought it home myself.

Heh, we got some bigass deluxe grill with the extra burner and all that for a wedding gift. I started assembling it and about 3 pages into the instructions, shit wasn't making sense. It was then I realized that the goddamn instruction booklet had the pages in the wrong ****ing order, so I had to tear everything back down I had done to that point and start over. Oh, and that was after I took apart the booklet and put the pages in the right order.

Heh back in college I came back for winter break, I was tired and not really thinking straight. I went to go light our wood fireplace(with a gas starter). I literally asked myself the question...no wait do I strike the match then turn on the gas, or turn on the gas then light the match(that's how out of it I was). I finally come to the conclusion that the right answer is turn on the gas then light the match. Afterall it'll be quick to light the match so no big deal.....

Turns on the gas...

strike one....match doesn't light....

strike two....match still doesn't light....

strike three....match lights...whooo hooo!!!!

Brings match near fireplace....

Woooosssshhh....big ass ball of fire comes out of said fireplace....

Fortinately all it did was singe my hair a bit....

But I'll never turn on the gas before lighting the match again.....

I can not help but laugh though, it is just too funny! Well, you are from Missouri, and Naperville.

But all kidding aside, I had a similar grill experience a few years ago. My visiting youngest daughter, was screaming as loud as if she had seen a spider.

I was in the shower, grabbed a towel, and it was the grill shooting fire out of the valve connection to the burners. Pretty impressive site really.
Reached down with one hand, while holding the towel with the other, and turned the supply valve closed. Fire stopped, wala!
