I'm not a gambling man, and too many things can happen that can change things as the season progresses.

I also don't know what might happen as in the next couple of weeks to improve other areas of weakness to alter how I feel about that 5 win prediction.

I also do have a bet with pawnmower already regarding Cassel's performance.

I think this team can win despite Cassel. I'm not going to bet you, but some of us want to watch a compitent QB or a learning young QB that has potential to be great. That is why we are bitching. We didn't want Cassel in the first place. Cassel may have an average season with good stats but that would be the result of short passes to our backs not any thing he does great. I agree. BUT... every other single area of the football team is going to have to play a near flawless game each and every time for that to happen. And then, we might win 17-14 or so, as it appears we can only expect the offense to mount 1 to 2 drives a game that have any real chance of putting the ball in the endzone. And, it may take a short field for that to happen.

Haley apparently agrees too, as I saw in a press conference where he said it may be "ugly" wins when we win.
