Bob Davis is an incredible homer who often complains about the refs and you can hear the depression in his voice when KU loses, so I don't see what's "totally stupid" about suggesting he would have done that last weekend.

Bob is a horrific P-B-P guy. Dude can't reel himself in to be even remotely objective during the call of the game.

No, he's not. Bob Davis makes SEC announcers look like Vin Scully.

Yes he is...

Jesus I remember listening to the MU/KU game last year... Could only get the MU feed...

You never knew what the down and distance was on each play, or how many yards the play went for... I remember posting about here her after the game and MU fans agreeing with me. You were lost the whole game trying to figure out where everything was.

Bob Davis isnt the best by far, but he isnt the worse either.

But if you hate everything KU, then he is the antichrist... I get it....

Have you ever listened to the KSU P-B-P guy - Wyatt Thompson? Holy ****. You'd want to shoot yourself in the face 10 minutes into the game. He's not a homer, but just a full throttle reerun.

You know back in 2003-2006 I used to listen to every KU and KSU football and basketball game on the internet. Living in Louisiania, I missed being in Kansas that much, that just listening to the games and commercials made me feel like I was back home for awhile.

Same with the Royals and Chiefs games...

I did catch him some last year on the farm... I didnt think he was any worse than the rest of them..

I don't hate everything KU. I didn't go to a Big 12 school. I went to college in Buffalo, NY. I've lived in like 5 states, I've heard broadcasts from many, many play by play announcers. Bob Davis ranks as probably the biggest homer I've heard. He's terrible.

I like MU's radio guy a lot. Hopefully one day he'll get to call a Bowl outside the state of Texas...

Why should he be objective? Seriously, he is the KU broadcast announcer. If he were providing play-by-play for the national/"neutral" broadcast, yes, he needs to be objective, but I don't see why he should for the Kansas broadcast.

I am a big fan of Bob; grew up listening to Bob & Max... they are iconic, HoF broadcasters. They are/were very passionate and animated. I would prefer that to dry, stale, "just the facts" broadcasting (see: MU's broadcast team; OMG, they're as milquetoast as it gets... forget UniSom, just listen to ten minutes of that dreck :zzzz: )

Hey, Coach Cadillac is in the early throws of dementia. He's a hoot to listen to. I wonder how he finds his way into the broadcast booth. They must lure him with cookies and prune juice.

I was hoping he'd try to pronounce Gahn McGaffie at some point.
