Did anyone notice Taylor Mays on the field against the Chiefs?

I noticed he was completely invisible. Completely. I don't even remember his name being called.

Mecca?

While I understand the need to improve the front 7 going into the draft, or the belief we needed to draft players in that area, I wouldn't call either 2nd round pick luxury picks.

Neither player is just a return guy.

Arenas is playing a ton of nickel as well as returning kicks. It's not like he hasn't contributed on defense. That's a 2 for 1 pick.

McCluster ditto, a 2 for 1 draft pick and he has scored 2 TD's (in 2 different ways) in 3 games. That's not a luxury player. That's an impact player.

Obviously it is early in the careers of the entire league wide 2010 draft class but no team has had more production out of their 2010 class than KC has to this point.

Only reason his name was called in the game is when Arenas juked him out of his USC jock strap. Mecca ran onto the field to collect the jock strap tho.

To be fair, he just scored a defensive TD off a blocked punt. Nicely done too. caught the ball at the very back of the EZ, and tapped his toes JUST short of the line for a score.

Well done Mays.
