A loss isn't "progress" no matter how pretty it is. Not saying I'll be distraught if they lose on the road to a playoff-caliber team, but no way can I call it progress.
The great thing about this game is it feels as if we have nothing to lose. This was the one loss on the schedule that was penciled in by every human being on the planet ever since the schedule came out. If it's a loss, I think everybody shrugs and moves on. But if it's a win....holy shit! That would basically signal the dawn of a new era. |
