What will you consider progress in Indy? The Poll

I was there the last time. About 5-10 Planeteers shared the pain together;

Not making Manning punt and a offense running LJ up the ass of his own offensive line are part of our history. We can reasonably expect a better performance this time.

But, what is going to be consider progress? Not going to attempt to define progress, thats up to you.

I'm hoping that our defense is able to hold them under 350 yards and force a turnover. I'd like to see us be able to run for 150+ against them, and we should be able to pass for around 200-220.

Disruption from the ends would be very nice, and I hope that we can hold them under 80 yards rushing.

I bet the line is Indy by 6 or something around that. If we can cover, I'd be happy with that.

If we can make the "insy" offense punt the ball I would be pleased. I don't wanna make Poop Cup homo boy Manning look good. Show that the defense is legit and improved. I'm happy.

I won't necessarily be upset if we lose. I WILL be pissed if we throw more than 5 times against that shit-tacular Indy run defense.

Nothing would make me happier than to finally give the Colts some comeuppance, who have been a gigantic pain in our asses for quite some time. From Harbaugh to Manning at Arrowhead and even the f**k-up at the RCA Dome in the Wildcard Round, we owe these f**kstains....BIG TIME. One regular season win isn't going to get us "even", but it'll be a goddamn good start.

After losing on that field goal and hearing about the 3-0 Chiefs for two weeks, I expect Manning to come out and dismantle us. Something along the lines of 450 yards and 3 TD without even getting his uni dirty. I don't think we have any chance, and that this is going to be the first (but not last) time we'll look like a young team in 2010, something that was inevitable all along. I don't think we match up well at all. We don't appear to have the quarterback to hang in a shootout, or a passing game to make their defense think about anything but stopping the run, and they probably won't even try to run the ball themselves, defense against which has been our main strength so far. We have a very good secondary, but they're a very young secondary, and if Manning has time to throw (and I expect he will), he will pick them apart.

I think in order to keep it close, we're going to need some non-traditional scores, big returns in the kicking game, turnovers forced by the defense, and we're going to have to continue to limit our own mistakes. We aren't going to have any margin for error this week, and the bounces will have to go our way for us to have any shot.

As far as progress goes, all I want to see is a competitive team that continues to improve just a bit every week. Don't go out there and get embarrassed KU-Baylor style. That 3-0 optimism will turn to panic fast if they head out of indy with their tail between their legs on the losing side of a 45-10 beating.

Improvement against Indy? Well, they usually lose against the Colts so a Win would be an improvement which could earn my approval. This is a wins and losses league - unless you have an incentive tied to bonuses. I don't get any bonuses if Cassel throws more TDs than INTs so I don't really care about any stat not tied to a "W". Win or bust. Screw Indy. While losing in week 5 won't hurt as much as being dumped out of the playoffs in the 1st or 2nd round, it wouldn't make me happy at all even if they teased me by keeping it close.

God I hope we win. I don't think we will, but goddamn I hope we win. I hope Berry catches St. Manning on a safety blitz and hits him so hard that Archie's kidney explodes. **** I HATE THE COLTS.

The Colts aren't the Colts anymore. A good showing in a loss that isn't lopsided would tell you that the Chiefs don't suck as much as they have in recent years. A win would tell you that they're capable of putting together an above average effort.

competitive defense and running game like we've been showing so far and an improved passing game.

all of us want to win but if we can go toe-to-toe with the colts then it will be progress regardless of win/loss. Especially considering the added pressure of who we are playing and being the last undefeated team.

The colts will be geared up to stop the run ... big time. We are going to have to spread it out some and throw it to back them off the LOS

I'm not guaranteeing a win or anything, but I think games like this is where Crennel and Weis will pay dividends. They've gone against and beaten Peyton before, and I'm assuming they don't buy the hype. Hopefully their influence and understanding will show up in this game.
