If the chiefs win today, the raiders will be eliminated from the playoffs and have nothing to play for next weekend.

Exactly. People who were talking about how disapointing Berry was had no justification for it. NONE. All rookies struggle in coverage just like he did. Hell Troy Polamalu couldn't even break the starting line up as a rook and yet people wrote shit like "this guy was supposed to be Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu and it just isn't going to happen."

It was stupid the first half of the season the shit written about Berry on here. He wasn't even THAT bad in coverage, he was just tentative. He made a mistake today too. It's relaly not a big deal. All rooks have to learn. He did everything else at a high level from day 1. People need to be more patient.

And if he would have continued to play like he did the first few weeks, we probably aren't looking like a playoff team right now.
And if you benched him, you wouldn't be either because your rush defense would still be ranked in the high 20s.

Ed Reed and Polamalu still make mistakes in coverage all the time.

In reality, Eric Berry has had a better rookie season than BOTH of them.

It's OK. You don't need to try and prove some point that isn't there.

Eric Berry is very good, and is going to be one of the best in the league.

That still doesn't mean he didn't suck in coverage his first few weeks in the NFL, leaving some to be a bit concerned with his transition.

Just like people were justified in worrying about Cassel, and he has now turned a corner, apparently.
Yep. Add in the fact that Earl Thomas was racking up INT's early but since he got his first INT it was like he got the monkey off his back

Never mind that his run defense was a critical reason the Chiefs had a hot start to the season, eh?
