I personally get much more enjoyment out of the little comments that people leave than any point system.

Not sure how this changes things like that. Really, all this did was get rid of a bunch of rep whores and change the scale. The "rep power" is smaller for everyone, so people can still get hammered into oblivion - the definition of "oblivion" just changed.

People may recall that the software had a cap of around 32k rep points for years. Before this reset, we had posters with the ability to give or take that much IN A SINGLE REP.
