I think part of the problem for the Royals is that Melky has been a lot better than anybody expected him to be. If we didn't have Lorenzo Cain down in Omaha, everybody would be talking about how Melky could our center fielder for the next 5 years.

One thing I do know is that I would not trade Wil Meyers for B.J. Upton. That sounds like Brock-Broglio.

From what I read a few weeks ago (again I wish I could remember where) Myers "seems disinterested in playing the outfield." So maybe they don't have the hopes for him they once did. Purely speculating of course but I did see that.
