So I take it that Stanzi is injured?

Surely the Chiefs would want to get Stanzi some work if he was healthy.

I wouldn't go that far. Give him a year to sit back and learn the playbook and speed of the game. He's a good talent but the dude is not Andrew Luck. Or probably even Jimmy Clausen. Maybe I'm wrong... but if I am that's good because a 5th round pick coming in and playing like a top 25 QB with no professional experience and hardly any summer practice/camp means the guy is probably a HOF'er and Pioli is a genius.

He was 18/34, 53%, 1 TD/1 INT with 9 sacks this preseason.

Misleading stats.

When he had time to throw he was awesome.

He made the best throws of all the QBs on the roster.

You may very well be right. Then again, I'm not sure what gives you confidence that he is going to have time to throw. But I am very concerned about our RT situation.

I do think he'd probably be exposed a bit if he played full time. It's just like the bench player everyone screams to play everyday, then he does and everyone realizes he wasn't ready. But I'm probably just cynical. I find it hard to believe a 5th round rookie can come in with hardly any NFL work at all and play great. Or even average. That's almost unheard of. If he can more power to him I say.

Wish I knew why Haley didn't play Stanzi. There's only so much you can learn from a playbook and film reels. If Cassel is down why the hell shouldnt he get some playing time? It's not like its going to hurt him.

There's such great demand for hope at the QB position that Stanzi, through his good play in spite of his lack of experience, playbook exposure, practice, and protection and time to throw the ball, has earned hero status among a few Chiefs fans.

I mean, what if he's even as good as a Marc Bulger? That right there is ****ing AWESOME for this franchise. That's an upgrade over Cassel, and might be enough to push us to elite status.

I think that'd be great. That might be a very good comparison.

But even Bulger didn't play in a game until his third season in the league.
