So does this mean we missed the plethora of QB's by 1 year? seems like half the crummy teams got their QB this year.

What about Foles from Arizona? Some people speak highly of him. Just a thought in case we don't "Luck" out and get the #1 pick or if we are unwilling to give up what it takes to get Luck (which given Pioli's history we shouldn't expect the Chiefs to do that).

Luck's numbers for last year and this year
last year---263 372 3338 70.7 8.97 32 8 170.2
this year---37 54 461 68.5 8.54 6 1 173.2

Nick Foles numbers for last year and this year
last year---286 426 3191 67.1 7.49 20 10 140.9
this year---71 93 810 76.3 8.71 6 0 170.8

I follow Pac-12 sports regularly since I used to live in Tucson and stay up to watch U of A whenever I can. If we cannot get Luck (which I do not see us doing), and we use our first draft pick on a quarter back, I think that Nick would be a great addition, since he does have a great touch on throwing the long ball and fade routes to the corner of the end zone to the receivers.

Numbers make my brain hurt.

How does he look on a swing pass?

he can make hit the swing pass as well... But I believe we need a quarterback that starts to go downfield more often.. to make the swing pass less predictable.

Luck, Foles (!st half last night) and Landry all threw lots of short passes last night. If you want to watch a college game and be impressed by downfield passing the team is going to have to play a patsy or be more of a spread attack.

Foles is tough to evaluate since his team isn't all that great on the OL.

I only watched the first half, but I was impressed Foles pocket presence and mobility, along with his arm and touch.
