Rumors on Cassel and Haley

I have no doubt in my mind that he despises Cassel and would rather drink opossum urine than suit him up. Cassel is Pioli's problem ... not Haley's.

I agree except Cassel is Haley's problem now. GM's get to pass the buck.

Nick Athens of Warpaint.Com was just interviewed on 1620 Omaha.
He said Haley will be fired during the by week.
He went to talk about how hard the Chiefs are scouting Luck, the demise of Haley after he took away the play calling from Charlie. The risk KC took after the lock out was over. How they are not in condition,prepared,ect
40+ million under the cap, & how he hopes John Gruden is named head coach next year.
He named many coaches from Iowa's head coach to the Ravens old coach Billick.

Oh, I'm not saying that Haley won't or even might not fall on the sword Cassel calls his penis. He very well may.

What I'm saying is that, if he does, it would be patently unfair. Cassel is dysfunction incarnate. The problem here isn't Haley's ability to HC an NFL team, it's Haley's ability to HC an NFL team with Cassel at the helm.

Honestly, unless you're the NE Patriots with an established, entrenched, solid, successful team (O, D, and STs), Cassel brings little or nothing to the table.

In fact (and at the risk of sounding too much like Mr. milkman), I said it at the time; franchising Cassel was one of the shrewdest personnel moves Wild Bill (or anybody) ever made. It created the impression that Cassel was the real deal and elevated his "perceived" value across the league as a legitimate quarterback. That, my friend, is the myth of Cassel. When, in actuality, Bill stuck it to his old padna like a Navy Seal's schlong in a Chinese lesbian's patoot.
