Tamba Hali is criminally underrated

Best pass rusher in the league right now, and it isn't really close. The guy gets to the QB on every. Single. Play. He's an unstoppable, unblockable, no quit, high motor player and he puts Jared Allen to shame. I would submit he's the best pass rusher this team has seen since Derrick Thomas. I hope we get a QB and some other pieces in place soon so we don't waste his incredible talent. BEAST. I love watching him play. Easily the biggest bright spot of this season. Hats off to him.

I don't really give a shit about any other aspects of his game. He's a pass rusher lol. He's not so bad that he's a liability in run coverage, so who cares.

Hali was a below average run defender (-4.0) last year, but he did have 32 stops, which is pretty good.

This year he's holding at +1.1, which is good.

His pressures are down this year, but his pass rush grade is still 2nd in the league behind Ware.

And by the way FAX you have way too much time on your hands to write like that to insult me.
U Mecca??

Hali is playing at an All-Pro level.

Does that include yesterday's game? Because I could have sworn he had a zillion pressures in that game.

I don't see how he is overrated. He is generally considered to be a top 5 pass rusher by most pro analysts. I'd like to see what he can do in the playoffs in really really big games.

Hali sure is a great player but he is no Demarcus Ware. Did you guys ever see that missed tackle on Fred Jackson?? It was brutal brutal... that was juste one play but I cannot imagine guys like Ware and Harrison EVER looking that bad on a running play.

Not only did Hali have a grade 10 points higher than Ware last year, he played more snaps, had more sacks, fewer penalties, more pressures and more QB hits.

And he played in a front 7 that was far less talented.

I'm not the one to insult like so many posters on this forum but your post is a terrible FAIL. First, who cares about grades? More snaps??? Are you serious, completely irrelevant as both players played full time for 16 games.

Hali had more sacks?? There's a reason I said your post is a terrible fail.

Fewer penalties for a single year is a marginal argument.

Anyways, I get it you guys love Hali and think he is the best. I also love Hali, our defense would be much worse without him, but you clearly are biased if you think Hali is better than a player who is arguably the top defensive player in the NFL. Not saying he is, but he's in the same boat as guys like Revis, Willis, Polamalu, Reed, Ngata...

17 vs 15 according to PFF.

Ware is probably a better player but Hali is in his league.

Why not? Those are the facts.

For you to sit there and say "Hali is no Demarcus Ware" is a slap in the face when the guy was more productive as a pass rusher by every measurable.

He doesn't have Ware's speed so he isn't as "flashy". He gets the job done and that's all that matters. He just isn't all that versatile he basically should never drop in coverage and Houston really shouldn't either and when Crennel wants to play this 3-4 cover 2 that's a bit hamstringing.
