I don't know, but I do know that whether we get Luck or not, I'm sick to death of mediocre team..... We've had one year over about the last 5 where we have played just good enough not to get the best draft picks. I'm actually for signing or trading for a prospect. Of course I'm a Mallet fan, but I would love to see the Chiefs reach for him or somebody like him. I can't think of anyone else in the league right now like him. I'm not a big advocate for preserving draft picks because they are all basically crap shoots anyway. I would love to be able to draft Luck, but we will likely not be the first pick of the draft and if we are, we have to be able to keep him standing. Honestly, it's has always been obvious to me that Cassel was not our future... I couldn't believe it and was disgusted when they contracted him during training camp without even really making him try out at least a half of a year as a starter. That is all

Trading for someone that hasn't even played in the NFL yet is just as much of a crap shoot.

I don't disagree. But unless the Vikings are trading Ponder because they picked first and took Luck then there really isn't a QB prospect worth trading for that we cant pick ourselves.

That's probably true, there's a lot of good QB prospects this year.

Really? Thinking he will go back and be the number 1 guy next year? I could see that. Hadn't really thought about it.

Mecca I would be curious to hear your assessment of Robert Griffin III. Is he a college gimmick or a legitimate NFL first round talent? Where would you rank the QB's coming out, including Barkley?

Griffin is Dennis Dixon redux, he might have a role as a gimmick type guy but most likely a fringe NFL starter...I could see a team thinking he's a WR though because of his speed and quickness and lack of size.

Barkley has everything to gain going back, SC is bowl eligible next year, he has a true freshman and true soph as his WR's and it's a deep QB year. Luck is the obvious #1 guy..I think guys like Barkley and Foles are in there. I even think Ryan Lindley is a good prospect...Brandon Weeden would be if he wasn't 28.

Yeah, well, we're grooming a 28 year old QB now.

Good to see you back.

This. I don't get all the RG3 hype. Haven't we seen this type of player before and they don't win Super Bowls.
