I watched him this weekend. He didn't have a statistically great game but he didn't throw it much as they ran for like 250. He is amazingly accurate and has a very good arm. He def. passes the eye test.

If I am the Chiefs GM, on draft day, I'm going after him. If you believe he is the missing cog in this engine there is no reason not to go after him.

That's what I'm saying.

Go get him, a few FA's and resign what we have, get healthy and who knows.

Was Barkley aware of the NCAA sanctions when he came? If so, that points to him staying. If not, I wouldn't be so sure.

Haha, he was having a good year till this past game and Flacco was god awful too.

I really really like Vontaze Burfict but I can't really hype up the idea of the Chiefs taking a ILB in the first with where this team sits.

Actually they came after his freshman year, Carrol was his coach his first year, when several guys transferred out with no sitting out policy, he elected to stay.

I'm not trying to start anything by the way. I'm genuinely curious. It's been a pretty big topic on all the national sites today.

If he was coming out this year and you knew this is what you were going to get in year 3, do you still take him with a top 3 pick?

I wouldn't judge him on the 1 game, he'd shown improvement from last year till that game.

Sure, I get that. But do you think he is a franchise QB? Would you use a top 3 pick on him and his upside?

Assuming we're somewhere between 5 and 10, I would give up:

2012 1st, 2nd, and 4th
2013 1st and 3rd.
As much as I like Luck, no way. That would be a crippling move for this franchise.

In the draft he was in..yea, looking back that draft is a shithole. Josh Freeman is one of the best players from that draft and no one liked him.

More crippling that not having a franchise QB in our lifetimes?

Luck wont be the last franchise QB drafted. This team still needs C, NT, ILB, S, and a OLB that can guard a ****ing TE and possibly a CB/WR depending if they decide between Carr/Bowe.

With the absolute inability this team has at picking them it's probably best to do all they can to get the closest one to a sure thing.

I think it's worth it...but the premise of my proposal was that you believe he's that special as a QB. Can you imagine how great we could be with a top tier QB, one of the best RB's in the game, one of the top WR's in the game, a good young TE, and a good young defense?

If we take Barkley we can just copy all the Cassel posts from the last 3 years and replace Cassel with Barkley to save time.
