How do you feel now about Sanchez and Freeman at QB?

Suppose the Chiefs would have drafted either of these guys instead of aquiring Cassel. Would they have a better record right now? Are Sanchez or Freeman truly the type of "transcendent" QB talent to will a team to victory? They are probably better than Cassel, but "how much" better?

I think Sanchez can get better, unlike Cassel......he has much better physical tools, doesn't play scared, and the other stuff can be coached. Having that said he's played like shit most of the time and has benefited from having a great defense and good players surrounding him on offense.

Freeman is going to be a stud in this league, and is reaching that potential as we speak. He's a top 10-15 QB in this league easily, and plays on a TB team that doesn't have a whole lot of talent.

It is a bit amusing that fans castigated Pioli for not picking Sanchez when they should have done so for passing on Freeman.

That guy is gonna be really good for a long time. He was a 2nd tier QB behind Stafford and Sanchez too. I really, really wish Josh Freeman was the QB in KC. Kid is made of clutch.

Freeman would be a hero here. It would have been good on and off the field as a PR move.

Yeah, I wish Pioli would have waited for the draft to address the QB in 09.

It is ridiculous that this guy was right under the team's nose for so long.

Yep. With him, we would have had a chance in the playoffs last year and we wouldn't be sitting at 1-3 right now.

He has played well for him. But without his defense in the playoffs his version of "well" wouldn't have been good enough. Awesome defenses can only help out game managers for so long though. That's why they only get to the title game. The opposing team with the franchise QB then takes over and wins. The divisional game last year at the Pats in the playoffs had more to do with uncharacteristic mistakes the Pats made than Sanchez and the Jets. The point is the team with the franchise QB always has the Super Bowl on the horizon. Teams like the Jets and Ravens will never make the Super Bowl because of their handicapp sign aka their game managers.

Franchise QB > Game manager

Sanchez actually played very good in the championship games, it was the vaunted Jets defense that let them down.

I don't agree but so what? As the QB you have to step up. The Packers don't have the best defense, the Saints don't have the best defense, the Steelers defense didn't play particularly well in the Super Bowl but they still had a chance to win at the end because of the QB. It all comes down to the QB. Franchise QB. The Jets don't have one in Sanchez.

Meh, he shit himself pretty good in the 1st half against the Steelers. Helped put his team in that hole by not being able to hit the broadside of a barn.

I would take both over Cassel. Freeman especially.

On a sidenote, I am in a 12 team fantasy league and my 2 QBs are Matt Schaub and Josh Freeman. I can not for the life of me, start the correct QB in the correct week. When I start Schaub and he doesn't rack the fantasy points, Freeman rocks the fantasy points... and vice-versa.

On another sidenote, out of the 12 teams, my team was granted the first pick in the draft. Guess who chose as the number 1 pick in the draft? You guessed it.... Jamaal Charles. It has been rough trying to put the pieces back together to say the least. Somehow I am 2-2 and have the fewest amount of points in the league. Stevie Johnson of all people has been my clutch point-getter (with an exception of this last weekend).

I can give a crap less about Sanchez or Freeman. I want to see Stanzi play.
