Nobody is going to leave Luck on the table. They'd just trade whoever they had before. Why be stuck with Bradford when you can have Luck cheaper? Ain't gonna happen....

yes. Ideally they would trade the pick prior to the draft. However, if they feel like a team is lowballing them, they can force their hand by drafting him and shopping him around.

Luck is not cheaper at this point I don't think.

Bradford was given a $30MM signing bonus, they already paid him that $.

Luck even with the new rookie wage scale is likely going to get more guaranteed than Bradford is owed over the rest of his contract after this season.

I think Bradford signed a 6 year deal with $50MM guaranteed. They already gave him $30MM of that. He will have played 2 season under that contract for more $.

I imagine he is owed about $30MM after this season and it's not all guaranteed.

Luck is going to get good $.

Bradford is a known albeit still a work in progress. Luck for all his hype is still an unknown on the NFL level.

They would still end up giving Luck big bank, not like Bradford but a new $30MM contract or so.

For what they have already given Bradford I bet keeping him would be cheaper by far over the rest of his existing contract and you have someone who has 2 years under his belt.
He may or may not be cheaper, but who is better?

Luck is capped at 4/25 isnt he?

the Colts could be really lookling at Matt Kalil too, if you want to go there also. Even though it's true that the Rams won't touch Andrew Luck.

This week is the key. Win and we're still in the division race. Lose and it's time to S4L

Which is what the Chiefs should have done with Sanchez.
