RUMOR: Cowher to Chargers?

This is a rumor that I heard on the radio (XX1090) this morning. Supposedly this rumor has some merit. The key points that I picked up on:

1. Cowher is interested in the taking over the Chargers as long as AJ Smith is fired along with Turner.

2. He wants full control and wants to bring in his own personnel men (obviously, right?)

3. He wants to go to SD because they have a legit QB, something other teams that made him offers didn't have.

4. Apparently he liked Rivers coming out of the draft more than Ruthlessraper.

Basically, Rivers is a huge draw for Cowher.

I agree. And since the head coach is tied to his QB, don't you think Haley would rather have Rivers than anything he currently has?

Not fair.

I agree too, he has talent (which is obvious) but he's never had the "it" factor that closes the deal. He's got tons of talent around him and that helps cloud the fact that he's just a meat head.

I wouldn't want River's on this team if he payed the chiefs to play.

Really? Cassel vs Rivers and you're taking Cassel?

Can I say I don't want either? River's is a crybaby like brock that is always going to be a loser. I don't like that and do not want it on my team. why is that a bad thing to profess?

Current rumor from the NY POST (so, may as well be from WPI) is that Cowher has already interviewed with the Chargers...
