I love Battier, and especially what he brings to Miami. Better version of Mike Miller IMO. Heat were already the favorite, but Battier puts them over the top I believe, especially if they can add one more serviceable big.

Battier brings defense and 3pt shooting. He'll allow Bron/Wade breathers on D. Assuming they keep Miller, Miami's wing rotation will be Bron-Wade-Battier-Miller. Sick.

Big CP3 rumor now is Lakers get CP3, give Gasol to Rockets and KevMart and Scola to New Orleans. If Lakers don't give up Bynum/Odom in this deal, maybe they end up with CP3 and Howard after all.

The Nets emerged as the number one choice for Dwight Howard, according to multiple sources.

Howard is expected to ask the Magic to trade him to New Jersey.

The Nets are offering Brook Lopez and two first round picks to Orlando for Howard.

Despite their pursuit of Howard, the Nets are also actively engaged in talks with Nene in case they are unsuccessful.

Howard can become a free agent next summer.
