Crennel on QBs

JoshLooneyJosh Looney

Crennel has not decided on a starting quarterback for Sunday vs. GB. #Chiefs

kentbabbKent Babb

Crennel doesn't rule out starting Ricky Stanzi against the Packers.

We might as well see what Stanzi can do for the remainder of the season. No way should we ever go back to Palko again. That shit ran its course with Haley.

I snapped this pic at the Steeler game as I walked past Pioli's suite. the door was only cracked a bit, but I managed to get a glimpse.

I think the image on the computer screen is Haley, his daughter, and family dog. Really, mocking Pioli like that was the kiss of death.

I don't buy into any of the above, I think Todd played who he wanted to and wasn't going to be bullied into playing anyone he didn't want to play.
Haley was a Pioli puppet.

Pioli traded for Cassel
Pioli retained Gailey (with input from Clark)
Pioli hired Weis

I'm not sure how far Pioli went with his overuse of power, but to act as if he let Haley play who he wants is foolish.

Palko certainly isn't ready to play QB in the NFL, but it didn't stop them from playing him. This is a prime spot to play Stanzi: expectations are absolutely nil. They just fired the coach, the undefeated world champions are on the schedule, and everyone expects 56-3. So let Stanzi give it a shot. If he actually plays well, it would be a huge boost to his confidence as well as the fans'; if he doesn't, no harm done, no one expected him to do much anyway.
The other thing would be, I haven't looked this up, isn't GB's defense very weak?

It would help for Stanzi to go ahead and get first team reps in practice. Something he has prob not been given.

I think Palko might be the exception here, and Pioli might have been like "Alright Todd, but if this is a huge epic failure, it's on you". So Todd went with Palko, he was a huge embarrassing failure of epic proportions, and Pioli said "YOU'RE ****ING FIRED TODD!!!"

I'll take this one step further and say that Todd was stubborn to a fault when it came to who he would play. I think once it became obvious to the rest of us that palko wasn't an nfl qb, it only furthered todd's desire to prove everybody wrong. really my only complaint about todd, but that doesn't matter anymore.

Let the conspiracy theories begin..... If he's playing the guy who supposedly wasn't ready and is auditioning for the job is it because he'll likely be the head coach next year?
