Chiefs lose again-The history of disappointment

Being a Chiefs fan for 41 years and never living in the KC area to comfort my wounds with fellow loyalists, this loss really ranks as one of my top 10 in terms of pain and disgust. Not sure why at this stage in life if feels so shitty but it was a huge downer.

Maybe being near Christmas? Maybe the big tease of feeling so high after last weeks win and thinking we would make the playoffs? Maybe the realization that it will be another 9 months of waiting to see what next year's team brings.

Being a loyal Chiefs fan is really as close to masochism as I can imagine.

How does this lose rank for you?

Yup I'm 30 now and i don't let them get me down as bad. If this happened 7 years ago me and my friends would be binge drinking until next weekend.

Titans are the only one of those three I think we might have a shot against, though with Hasselbeck at QB, I'd call it a slim chance.

Meh. I'm over it. Even if we got in at 8-8, it would have felt cheap, and we would get rolled again by someone in the playoffs.

If we have the offseason I hope we can have, we can hopefully earn this thing next year...

I run my mouth before a game but I don't troll that much after a loss because I know how it feels, not much for kicking a man when he is down.

That rep stuff has never bothered me one way or another.

It would have been Baltimore or Pittsburgh for us. We wouldn't have played any of those until the championship game.

Youre right. It is ridiculous, especially when you factor in most of the players don't give a shit. Look at them right after a game. Makes me want to blow a gasket.

It's true even after I read it was like seriously ? This is a life changing concept for people? Seemed like common sense to me.

I sometimes wonder how much the losing teams players smiling and yucking it up with the winning teams players at the end of a game is trying not to show they're beaten and dissappointed to that team and the cameras. I don't know. It's probably just "oh well I'm still rich."
