I would seriously consider government service, either AmeriCorps or the military. 3 years, get your student loans paid off, get a chance to work in your field. With a masters you should easily make captain and get queued up to make major.

If you do it right, you can get your clearance and get involved in some pretty cool stuff with better than average job security. And a retirement package most people would sacrifice a limb for.
