It's staggering how much more accurate the guy was in college than in the pros.

I was "forced" to watch most of his games (one of my best friends comes over Sundays to watch football and is a 4th gen Browns fan) and without exaggerating, the guy was as bad as Tebow without the magic.

He makes Matt Cassel look like Troy Aikman.

Heres the thing with him though...

He had a couple really good games that he looked like a good NFL quarterback.

Then, the next week he would turn back into Cassel/Tebow bad...

I don't think I've seen a set of quarterbacks that had as many sub 100 games as Cassel and Quinn.

You think maybe it was due to the lack of talent in Cleveland?

I dont, a quarterback is either accurate or he isnt... you can hit a shitty receiver in stride just as well as a good one.

Denver tried him out & decided Tebow gave them a better chance.

Denver tried him out when? When did he start for Denver?

He surely got plenty of practice looks.

No one but Orton got any reps with the first team this past offseason. That's why it took going 1-4 to make a change.

Quinn looked pretty good in 3 preseason games, and absolutely horrible in 1. I don't really see why Denver wouldn't re-sign him as a backup, personally.

Confidence and chemistry do wonders for accuracy - especially for a guy who was once incredibly accurate. He's obviously unproven in the NFL. If he finds a situation in which to thrive, he could do so. It's not unheard of...

Denver has FAR more invested in Tebow than Quinn.

IMO he was absolutely a big part of the problem.

Numerous times I saw the guy have a clean pocket, flush HIMSELF from it and throw on the run into the dirt when there was a play to be made.

Or he would stare down one guy for what's basically whole games and take unneeded sacks.

Very frustrating player.

I don't know if he has that "fire" a guy needs to have to fight his way back into a real opportunity.

To me, I think Clausen still has a chance to be a quality starter in this league, more so than Quinn. If Clausen was available for something like a 5th rounder or even a 4th (personally, I'd go as high as a third) would be a move I would think would be worthwhile. Not sure if I'd even sign Quinn.

Why are you dragging Tebow into this?
