Petrino in motorcycle wreck

He didn't die (hate to disappoint Hamas and the rest of the board who hate BMFP).

http://arkansasmatters.com/fulltext?nxd_id=525802
9:50 a.m. update: (from University of Arkansas Athletics Department):

Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino was involved in a motorcycle accident Sunday evening near the town of Crosses in Madison County, Arkansas. Arkansas State Police responded to the accident.

The university is releasing the following statement from Coach Petrino's family.

"Coach Petrino was involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening that involved no other individuals. He is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery. Our family appreciates respect for our privacy during the recovery and we are grateful for the thoughts of Razorback fans at this time."

Jeff Long, director of athletics and vice chancellor, said he has been in touch with the Petrinos and added that he will consult with the family to provide additional information at a later time. Until then, there will be no further information or comment on the accident per the Petrinos' request.

Original report:

Joe Schad, ESPN's National College Football reporter says via Twitter this morning that a person close to Coach Petrino reports his injuries in a Sunday night motorcycle accident in Madison County are not life-threatening but he is "pretty banged up."

Schad also tweets that Coach Petrino could take some time to recover but that he's focused and determined to return to practice as quickly as possible.

Bill Sadler with Arkansas State Police confirmed earlier today that the accident happened around 6:45 along Highway 16 near the Crosses community.

The crash involved only Petrino's bike, Sadler said.

Petrino has been hospitalized since the accident and there's been no official report on his condition.

Whether or not it can be proven, it's pretty clear why she got the job. It will be interesting to see who else applied.

So was she injured badly? Seems odd that their has been no info about her condition. You would think given the severity of Petrino's injuries that she sustained some, as well.

Thats how attempted cover ups work. In certain places in this country everyone from the top down will do whatever it takes to protect those that are guilty because of who they are.

They realize how empty their lives would be without certain things. In this case, college football.

Unfortunately for them the internet has broken most of that down. That's why Petrino and Arkansas look so hapless right now.

She was fine. That's been published in repeated reports. Some are speculating that she must have been wearing a helmet (possibly his which explains why he wasn't wearing one).

Except no one has covered anything up except Petrino in this situation. He is the one who has lied and been dishonest. Of course, others must have been aware of his infidelities.

If this gets any bigger, it could be .0000001% as bad as the Baylor scandal. It's too bad that the Big XII has a culture in which college basketball programs feel the need to call murdered players drug dealers just to save face.

People who say he won't get fired just don't know anything about the South. The SEC is the South, and it prides itself on Southern values. Adultery doesn't get swept under the rug. Dude is as good as canned. Now, if the girl had been his cousin or some form of relative, he'd be fine. Maybe a 2 game suspension.
