It's not dumbed down. It takes out a bunch of worthless shit no one used anyways. It took out annoying, tedious things.

haha when the game removes the chance of you screwing up your build it is dumbed down. regardless if you liked or disliked the things that was removed blizzard has said it themselves they made it easier for new people. you might love the changes an thats great. but it has been dumbed down. they have made things as simple as they can for people. no longer is there a chance at failure. that is being dumbed down. they are holding your hand on a guided tour to make sure no one gets lost

here i will make a football example so everyone can relate to it
diablo2 herm would of rolled something like a melee sorc. he would get killed an get laughed at all the time. yet he would be to stupid to look for help. he will stand there giving speeches about why his build is great that make no sense. now in diablo3 they have made it so no matter what herm does his build will work. this man who could not make it out of act2 normal is now able to make it all the way to hell. herm will not get lost an confused. he now gets a blue ribbon for participation so he can feel like everyone else an not be seen for the true failure that he is. if you don't like the term dumbed down. we can say it was hermed if that will make people happy haha |

this is very true sir. they have. games now are all doing this and it is sad. the only difference is that blizzard used to be a different kinda company. now sadly they are turning just like the rest an thats the problem because they used to make games that was about game play an just being great games. now games are all just a faceroll. hell old mario games are harder then what we get now

Sounds like dumbed down is another way of saying they did theur best to not alienate a portion of their player base. How about they add in a pitfall during install that if you put in your code wrong it disables the entire game for you so that you just can't play it from the outset instead of doing the long drawn out process of getting pissed off because you did everything wrong builing your character and don't know why.
Sure, there is value in learning how to not make those mistakes, but if they don't add to the game aren't possible frustations like those just taking away from it? |

but they do add to it. sadly now people just want things easy without the work. if everyone gets the reward just for showing up it doesn't have much meaning or value. but if people earn a reward by learning from there failures once they finally figure it out it is far more rewarding then for it to be just handed to you. |
