So I've been banned from CP for what appears to be forever. I'd like to offer the following explanation and a plea for reconsideration:

Here's what happened: the absurdity of the whole Peyton Manning situation showed me how fun it is to post in an absurd style that involves a lot of simple repetition, Dadaist nonsense, obviousness, exaggeration, and thread starters/bumps that are a bit offbeat. So for the last few months, I've primarily posted in that style. And while I think a lot of people agreed that this was fun and harmless, mods interpreted it as antagonistic and obnoxious (fair enough on the obnoxious thing, I suppose) and as a behavior issue rather than a stylistic choice.

Anywho, I really don't want to be banned forever and I'm willing to tone down that style if that's what it takes. I had previously seen my bannings as the mods who didn't think my weirdo shit was funny just ****ing with me. Now I see that they genuinely thought I was a problem and genuinely felt I was blowing chances and "making them look stupid" for letting me back in.

So now I'd like to drop the absurdist facade and be serious for a second: I want to keep posting at CP. And I'm willing to do it in a way that totally doesn't piss off the people who are trying to keep the place civil.

If anybody could pass this on to ChiefsPlanet, I would really truly appreciate it. Thanks.

Yeesh... I can see where your point of people hosting 20 images on CP then spamming the board is a completely valid and legit one. It is obviously my fault for not understanding that your implication was for images hosted on CP. I now see, due to the complete lack of that happening (probably even EVER on this site), how you meant that you were specifically and only talking about the images which are hosted on CP.

Politicians could takes notes from you when it comes to spin. "Oh, I didn't mean that... I meant this other thing that has absolutely nothing to do with what is being discussed here or what happened that spawned the discussion".

Is there even an instance of someone hitting the posting limit with images hosted on CP? I would bet a 2 week ban that it has not happened in the past year.

Until quite recently, I had no idea that one could link stuff here. Prior to that, I uploaded everything.

I could be wrong, but even if you put 100 of the same image hosted on CP (like the SPAM post), wouldn't it be one call to the server? Once it's loaded in the system cache, it would load the other 99 from the cache, no?

Sure... but did you put 20 images in a single post? This is the crux of my argument. No one uploads 20 images to the board to spam it. NO ONE.

Phil's original argument was that any image added to the board used bandwidth and now he is backtracking stating that he only meant the ones hosted on CP. I call bullshit but he will find someway to still make out that he is right in some 7th dimension where the rules of logic all flow through the spirit being of Phobia.

He can't simply admit, "damn... I misspoke". He is gonna hang on to his argument like a 3 year old clutching a teddy bear.

Would you rather have him keep arguing his point (or lack thereof) so you can keep telling him how flawed his argument is and how wrong he is? I think that was his way of saying he was done arguing and moving on, and that he's hoping you'll do the same.
